Good day Believers,

I thank you all for continuing to take this walk with us. Continue to fellowship with us as we all grow in Christ. Though none of us are perfect, it’s seeking his face that’s most important. Let’s eat…

Finish your food…

I remember sitting at the table as a child, eating my meat and eating my starch and sipping more and more juice trying to avoid those veggies. All the while, thinking about that dessert. See, the dessert was kind of like the Finish Line, lol!!! But, of course I’d hear “No dessert until you finish your food, and yes that means your veggies too!!!” It’s because of situations like that, that I now understand the principal: “If you’re not productive/ responsible at the level you’re on, you will not be able to graduate to the next level.” OR!!! “If you do not do the right thing with what you have at one level, you can forget about the next level.”

Unless of course you change your productivity at the level you’re on… Meaning, once you start eating those veggies, then we can think about dessert…

A story of Men who were entrusted with ‘minas’ and then had their productivity checked:

Luke 19:16-17 - “The first one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned ten more.'’ Well done, my good servant!’ his master replied, ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’

Luke 19:20 - “Then another servant came and said, ‘Sir, here is your mina; I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth… (Meaning, he didn’t do anything with it, he was non-productive)

Luke 19:22 - “His master replied, ‘I will judge you by your own words, you wicked servant…

Luke 19:24-26 - “Then he said to those standing by, ‘Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.’” ‘Sir,’ they said, ‘he already has ten!’ “He replied, ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what
he has will be taken away.

The man who was productive with 10 was then graduated to another level to be trusted with 10 more. The man who did nothing with 1, was not able to go to the next level and even had that 1 taken away from him. I’m going to be open with you all because we’re family… I can personally say that I am at a point in which I’d like to go to another level and I can sense that God wants to put me on a new level but, I have not been as productive as I possibly can, at the level that I am on. That’s why this week’s Bread is slightly emotional for me. I am in a place where I’m looking at all that God has given me, opportunities, relationships, talents, resources, finances, etc… and I have not maximized them. I’ve done “ok” but “ok” at one level does not graduate us to the next level. However, the best part of it is, I pray for wisdom and I have a relationship with Him. You too can have one. This relationship starts with accepting Jesus as your PERSONAL Lord and Savior. That is the ONLY way. It ONLY takes this simple prayer… however you must say it with your own mouth, and believe it with your own heart (*Romans 10:9*). If you feel like you’ve gone astray then rededicate your life NOW. Repeat and believe this…

“Heavenly father I cannot hide from you any longer. I am a sinner, and I do need a savior. I want to invite Jesus Christ into my heart as my PERSONAL Lord and Savior. I do believe that Jesus is the son of the one and only living GOD, and that he died on the cross for my sins, and rose again for my justification, that I may be considered not guilty. That I may be washed clean. I confess my sins; I repent of all of my sins, and ask that you forgive me. Cleanse me lord, mold me, and shape me. My life is yours. I submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. I am washed by the blood of Christ. I will never be the same again. Thank you Thank you. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen”.

If that was your first time praying that prayer, the walk begins now. Get into a church home, begin to read GOD’s word daily along with prayer for understanding, and surround yourself with other believers (this doesn’t mean detach yourself from family/society). You will never be perfect, but you will also never be alone.

The Bottom Line is that we all want to grow, mature, and develop. We all want to graduate to new levels in life. But we all must be aware of what God requires of us in order to do so. Take a deep look inside and you’ll get the answer. It can be painful, especially when you think you’re doing Great and then discover that you’re only doing average. But it’s that Truth that shapes us. It’s doing its work in me, at this very moment…

It’s all-good though; I’m working on those veggies now ’cause I just gotta have that parfait, Lol!!!

Good day believers,

I hope that the past week has been a blessed one as we look forward to an even more blessed one to come. I also hope that this bread ministers to you as much as it has ministered to me. Let’s break bread.

“Pull the thumb”, “pull the thumb”, “pull the thumb!!!!!!!” I think I’ve heard this a million times in football camp. “Don’t point the finger, but pull the thumb.” This world is a cause and effect world. Sometimes, when someone does something that I dislike, it was a reaction to me doing something that they didn’t like, and vice versa. Sometimes the one trait that I can’t stand in someone else is the same trait that dominates my attitude.

Why don’t we just skim through Matthew 7:3 real quick, “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”

Now obviously you are not the one to blame for everything, but let’s try to make it a practice to ask ourselves “what did I do to cause……..?, or how could I have been the one to trigger this certain action from someone else? Instead of pointing the finger at them, pull the thumb to yourself. Take the blame sometimes, or if not, ask yourself what you can do next time to prevent or make an outcome better. After all, we sinned and Jesus took the punishment. He could have said “no I aint dying for these jokers and I aint even sin” LOL (Thank GOD that he didn’t pick one of us to be Jesus).

We can never repay Jesus, however we can have a pull the thumb attitude like he did. Do you truly know and have a relationship with GOD the father through his son Jesus? Without that union, there is no way for you to naturally have this type of an attitude, no way for you to be considered not guilty, and no way for eternal salvation, Why wait? This relationship starts with accepting Jesus as your PERSONAL Lord and Savior. That is the ONLY way. It ONLY takes this simple prayer… however you must say it with your own mouth, and believe it with your own heart (*Romans 10:9*). If you feel like you’ve gone astray then rededicate your life NOW. Repeat and believe this…

Good day, Believers…

We continue to wish you all the best in your walk with Christ. We also would like to thank you for using our Bread as nourishment along your path. Let’s eat…

His Intentions

Ok, so in the middle of a weekend of jet skiing, tubing, eating good, laughing, watching movies, swimming, enjoying the country side while driving in nice cars, water balloons, and play-fighting with kids, I sat back
And thought, wow… This Is The Life!!!

I thought about the millions of people that never get a single day to enjoy that type of lifestyle when a joyous, enjoyable, relaxing, wealthy lifestyle is what He intended for us all.

***Genesis 2:8-17-*** Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. And the LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground, trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters. The name of the first is the Pishon; it winds through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold. (The gold of that land is good; aromatic resin and onyx are also there.) The name of the second river is the Gihon; it winds through the
entire land of Cush. The name of the third river is the Tigris; it runs along the east side of Asshur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates. The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And the LORD God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.”

What was present in the description above?
A- Beauty
B- Man in the middle of this beauty
C- Man in the middle of this beauty as long as he obeyed the Father.

The book of Genesis is a book that represents God’s intentions and His. He set things in motion in the way that He intended things to be. In addition, He has given us our own Free Will. It is our free will that gives us the option to choose to obey Him or not to obey Him. Choosing not to obey Him takes us away from what He intended. That’s exactly what happened later in the Garden of Eden. Disobeying God causes a gap in the relationship that we have with Him. Obeying Him strengthens that relationship and brings us to higher levels of maturity, wisdom and revelation (which we touched on last week).

Amen”.

You will never be perfect, but you will also never be alone.

The bottom line is, God would have placed Adam in a junkyard if His intentions for mankind were for us to be average or in poverty. However, God wants us to be wealthy, happy, healthy and righteous. That does not meanthat we all will be Billionaires, or we all will own 10 cars, but He did indeed plan for us all to enjoy pleasurable lifestyles. Depression, poverty, ignorance, sickness, disease, etc. are not of our God. Those are things that we introduced to this world as a result of our own disobedience however, through repenting, asking for forgiveness and obeying The Lord, we can witness a release from these things into that realm that God intended for us.

Good day Believers…

I hope that you are all doing well on your walk towards Perfection. Though it’s unattainable it’s the pursuit of Righteous Perfection that shapes and molds us. And if you ever get hungry during that walk, stop off at L. Bennett’s and pick up some fresh bread…

Revelation:

I attended a wedding this past weekend. I got to see all of the normal things that most weddings have i.e. cute flower girls, a handsome young ring-bearer, cameras flashing, Bride’s maids and their girdles, the Groom’s Frat brother’s Barking out loud and doing the Q-Dog step/stomp at the reception, the Bride’s father pissed at people not eating the food he paid for, women on the dance floor with no shoes because their heels have been killing their feet all day, that one older female relative dressed like she’s going to the club with a tight skirt/dress trying to show that she “still has it,” that older guy who looks like someone’s uncle who bites his bottom lip with every dance step and is a master of the pelvic thrust, etc… You know, the usual, lol!!!

Anyway, I enjoyed myself. As we all know, the kiss is what seals the deal and makes the marriage official but, (Maybe I’m a little sensitive) the climax of the whole day was when the Groom removed the bride’s veil in order to lean in and do the Matrimonial Lip-Lock. All that went through my mind was the fact that right before they are made official, a veil has to be removed. In other words, in order for the #1 Symbol of Love & The greatest degree of human relationship is made official, an unveiling must take place. Once again, a removal of a veil must happen in order for the relationship to be made official in God’s eyes. Hmmmmm…. removal of a veil… *RE*-moval…
*VE*i*L*…

When you remove a veil, doesn’t that mean you’re now giving access, or making something known, or allowing people to see what was once behind the veil? *Reveal*… *Revelation *…

*1 Corinthians 2:10* - …But God has *reveal*ed it to us by his *Spirit*. The *Spirit* searches all things, even the deep things of God.

*1 Samuel 3:7* - …Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD: The word of the LORD had not yet been *reveal*ed to him.

*Revelation* - Greek word meaning revealed or uncovered

God (through His Holy Spirit) reveals His way, His plans, and His nature to us. This is called a Revelation or a removal of that veil. As human beings, we are not equipped to know everything. There are millions of things that exist that we have no knowledge of. They exist because God created them. We gain access to these things when God feels it’s time to reveal them to us. We witness a revelation when God feels it’s time to remove that veil, show us what’s behind it and take our relationship with Him to another level. Moving to higher levels of relationship with Christ through revelation is a wonderful thing to witness but the relationship starts with accepting Jesus as your PERSONAL Lord and Savior.

Amen”.

You will never be perfect, but you will also never be alone.

The bottom line is you want God to show you the “Things” of the Kingdom. But, it takes a certain level of maturity before He shows us these things. But once you get to that level, and he removes that veil… It’s official. Also, once the veil is removed and everything is made official, tell your uncle that the running-man, into the James Brown slide and a Michael Jackson 360 spin while rubbing the back of his head is a NO NO!!!

Good day believers,

I would like for everyone to constantly remind themselves that GOD and his word are one. GOD is real; don’t let spirituality become a ritual. His word has in it the LIFE that can bring LIGHT to the darkness in our lives. It can only bring that light if you allow it. This isn’t a game, get real with the word.

Proverbs 4:5-8
Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or swerve from them… Though it cost all you have, get understanding. Esteem her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you.

Understanding: To comprehend; realize, and/or discern. In simple terms, to grasp (idea, principle, concept, etc.)

I found myself reading the bible over and over from front to back throughout the last 6 years. I learned a lot and I grew a lot. However I found myself being limited to the plot of the bible rather than the deeper concepts that help us excel as Christians. To put it short and sweet, I want everyone to challenge themselves to not only read the bible, but to study the bible. Case in point, I found myself getting more out of studying a theme (Forgiveness, Love, Wisdom, Baptism, etc.) in addition to just reading pages. I learned a lot more during a 20 minute, topic specific study, than I did during 20 minutes of reading 20 pages in order.

YES, knowing the front to back plot is VERY important, but in addition to that we need to study the bible in order to UNDERSTAND GOD’s stance on specific themes. Reading can give you a general background. Studying (finding many different scriptures/biblical commentaries that pertain to an idea, researching the original language whether Greek or Hebrew of that word/idea, praying for insight on that specific theme, etc.) can give you a more focused understanding, and the ability to live and teach an idea to others. Remember, the bible is final authority in your life. You aren’t subject to what these other theologians and books have to say. STUDY the bible along with reading it.

If you know the background of a specific prophet, then you will know why GOD used them in a certain way. If you UNDERSTAND the history within the bible then you will know that the movie 300 is based on truth (The Greeks did really overthrow the Persian Empire). FYI, I just love that movie LOL! The Holy Spirit will guide and teach you as you take steps towards more insight.

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit only comes through a relationship with Christ. That relationship comes by accepting Jesus as your PERSONAL Lord and Savior.

I confess my sins, I repent of all of my sins, and ask that you forgive me.

I thank you all for continuing to be part of our spiritual family. FYI - If you missed the Infamous “L. BENNETT TBN Interview” you can check it out right here: (Part 1) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irSpdEeemEM, and (Part 2) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsAtKTatQB4. Pull up a chair to our dinner table to enjoy this warm Bread…

Are we truly thankful?

I remember going away to college and being low on cash as a college student. There were some nights when I ate like a King and had Dominoes pizza, lol!! But there were plenty of nights of “Oodles of Noodles,” and Popcorn. At times, I sat there looking at those noodles in that pot and thought about all of the parents out there that would love to have some noodles in a pot for themselves and their children. I also thought about all of the parents who could afford noodles and whole lot more, and actually did provide a whole lot more for their children day in and day out. It made me thankful that I was in a fortunate position. But even though I was thankful, I would be a liar to say that I never took anything for granted. Are you thankful for all that you’ve received?

Jesus heals 10 Lepers: Luke 17:14-19 - When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed. One (Out of 10) of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him and he was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?” Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”

Jesus healed 10 Lepers and only 1 of them said thank you. Out of every 10 people that God helps, are you the 1 or are you part of the 9? Being thankful comes with knowing that God does not have to love us. He loves us because he chooses to love us. He chooses to love us because he values the relationship that He has with us. We should value that relationship as well. That relationship comes by accepting Jesus as your PERSONAL Lord and Savior. That is the ONLY way. It ONLY takes this simple prayer… however you must say it with your own mouth, and believe it with your own heart (*Romans 10:9*). If you feel like you’ve gone astray then rededicate your life NOW. Repeat and believe this…

Good day believers,

Just because it isn’t Gospel does not mean that it isn’t the Lord’s. My brother and I have been rappers and songwriters for years. We rap but we aren’t Gospel rappers, we played football but we weren’t Gospel football players. We never wanted the rest of the world to ignore us or run away once they see the Gospel label. I one day got this revelation…. “In ALL that you do, keep the Lord first without contradicting his standards, and he can use your progress for HIS glory.”

Therefore I can rap but not glorify Drugs, Sex, Guns, and Violence. I can do music videos but not have naked women in my videos. I can rap without cursing. In all of this, I can still make it marketable and appealing to the non-Christians without compromising my Christianity. In turn, I can attract non-Christians to Christ because my lifestyle is of Christ’s but it is still appealing to those that are NOT of Christ. Hope you get the idea, but if not then watch OUR (3rd Power Music Group) first video that we just released. Still edgy, still fun & youthful Hip-Hop, but NEVER to contradict the kingdom. The more views we get, the easier for us to be on the MTV’s, and BET’s so copy and paste the link and tell all of your friends to watch and do the same. GOD bless you all.

“The song is hot and the video is creative. Finally not the typical booty shaking video.”

KEL SPENCER, The Best Rapper You Never Heard Of.

Good day believers,

I hope that we are all pressing on and asking GOD “what more can I do for you,” and “what EXACTLY do I need to change to live a life more pleasing to you?” Remember it’s ALL about him. Let’s eat…

GOD does not want a slaughter!!!! HUH why not? I remember back in the days when we used to play rough touch football on my block in Brooklyn. We always had two captains choose up the two teams by having them pick players one after the other. The captains, however, tried their best to pick a dominant team rather than make it fun by creating two equally talented teams. Plain and simple, each captain tried his best to have a slaughter.

In the book of Judges, chapter 7, it reviews some of Israel’s battles after they arrived in the Promised Land. Right as they were going to battle the Midianites 7:2 The LORD said to Gideon (Israel’s leader), “You have too many men for me to deliver Midian into their hands. In order that Israel may not boast against me that her own strength has saved her”. So they got rid of 22 thousand soldiers and they had 10 thousand left. 7:4 But the LORD said to Gideon, “There are still too many men”. So now 10 thousand men were scaled down to 300 hundred men and they got the victory.

Here they are about to be the favorite and have a slaughter and GOD says, “No I want you to be the underdog”. When you have perfect, ideal, and dominant conditions, then GOD will not get the glory. GOD wants you to excel through odds, when it isn’t expected because then outsiders will say, “WOW, how did they pull that off?” GOD does not want your numbers, education, relationships, experience, etc. to get the credit. He wants the credit, which is why he would scale back some things in your life that you may appear weaker. However, in your weakness, GOD shows up most. GOD didn’t say that they didn’t have enough men to win the battle, he said that they had too many.

Confess your weaknesses, confess your sins, and establish a relationship with the one and only true living GOD. That comes by accepting Jesus as your PERSONAL Lord and Savior.

I do believe that Jesus is the son of the one and only Living GOD, and that he died on the cross for my sins, and rose again for my justification, that I may be considered not guilty, that I may be washed clean.

Good day Believers,

I trust that you all are doing well, especially after a weekend of hot dogs, chicken, ribs, burgers, macaroni / potato salad, corn on the cob, and beans. Now, here’s some Bread…

What’s that for??

I remember going over a friend’s house and hanging out with he and his daughter. I happened to have a key chain that his daughter began playing with. I specifically remember her using the key chain to roll a ball around, kind of like you would use a golf club to roll a golf ball around. I thought it was cool and of course my boy told her to stop and to give me back my key chain. What struck me was the fact that she used my key chain as a tool to roll the ball around. The 2 parts of this are (A) She understands how a ball works which is why she attempted to roll it around. She obviously has played with a ball before. (B) She had no idea what the purpose of my key chain was, so she decided to use it for whatever she wanted to use it for, n this case, to roll her ball around. It made me think about all of the people who live their everyday lives NOT knowing their purpose and using their lives for whatever they like. Sure they are familiar with many things that go on in their lives (just as my boy’s daughter was familiar with the ball) but the tool that is supposed to be the main factor (the key chain) is their life and they have no idea what it’s purpose is.

Isaiah 55:10-11 - As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

God makes a deposit into us all, he makes an investment into us all in the form of His Word and that word has a specific purpose and is intended to act out a specific calling and return specific results to God. The key is understanding the purpose and the intent that God has for you. To know the purpose, you must first know the person who designed the purpose. That comes by relationship. Relationship comes by accepting Jesus as your PERSONAL Lord and Savior.

The Bottom line is you would hate to live your whole life being a golf club when you’re supposed to be a key chain all because you didn’t take the time, effort, focus and faith to try to understand what your purpose is. Get to know the purpose giver so you can get to know yourself. That way, you can truly understand your purpose. When the purpose of a thing is not clearly defined, Abuse (AB-normal USE) is inevitable…

And boy did she abuse my key chain, lol!!!

Good day believers,

We want to apologize for the delayed bread, but our oven was acting crazy. The loaves kept coming out too dark LOL! As we continue to grow in faith, I hope that our attitudes towards others begin to change for the better. Now, FINALLY we are ready to break bread, let’s eat…

So many times we are called to help the people that push our buttons. Yes we are aligned with certain people with attitudes and characteristics that we get along with. However to test our patience, love, and forgiveness, people that have blatantly disrespected us are sometimes the people that we are called to help.

In Joshua, chapter 9, as the Israelites were capturing the promised land, the Gibeonites came to form an alliance to prevent from being slaughtered by Israel. GOD had specifically told Israel to make no alliances with any of the Canaanites, but the Gibeonites had lied and pretended that they were distant servants of Israel. Israel fell to the deception and signed the treaty. Then they came to find out that they formed an alliance and gave an oath to protect the Gibeonites who were supposed to be destroyed.

As a Christian, you’ve made an oath to Love people. Israel could not then go back on their oath even though they were lied to, tricked, and deceived by the Gibeonites. They still lived up to that oath to protect. We are called to love those who’ve blatantly disrespected us for the sake of themselves, just because as Christians we’ve made an oath with GOD to love. Again, so many times, the people that you are called to help are the people who have disregarded, and disrespected you. It is your job to live up to the oath and love them anyway, just like Israel did even though they were lied to. Read Joshua 9 when you get a chance.

You can only forgive as GOD does, by having the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. That comes by accepting Jesus as your PERSONAL Lord and Savior. That is the ONLY way. It ONLY takes this simple prayer…however you must say it with your own mouth, and believe it with your own heart (*Romans 10:9*).

Amen.”

If that was your first time praying that prayer, the walk begins now. Get into a church home, begin to read GOD’s word daily along with prayer for understanding, and surround yourself with other believers (this doesn’t mean detach yourself from family/society). You will never be perfect, but you will also never be alone.
